* Says many economic sectors to suffer
KARACHI: President Azad Jummu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Sardar M Yaqoob Khan said Gilani government should review the list of trade following giving Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to India.
Talking to businessmen at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Thursday, he said immediate need to reconsider trade list with India would be beneficial, as there was several ambiguities to keep trade in balance between the two countries.
He said the MFN status to India would affect women textile and fabrics, secondhand clothing, fruit and vegetable and dry fruit sectors of the country.
Sardar Yaqoob said the government while framing the line of items with India overlooked the domestic trade and industry reservations.

January 1, 2005, marked the end of a 10-year phaseout of the MFA quotas under the aegis of the World Trade Organization. This article examines the origins and spread of quotas under the MFA and the impacts of their subsequent elimination.
