After showcasing her Spring Summer 2011 collection at the recent Wills India Fashion Week, she has already started working on her new line. Talking about her collection, she says, "I've explored Japanese structures, blurring formal deco elements and streamline design with couture finishing in a celebration of conceptual craft and narrative decoration. It's an easy-to-wear style interspersed with surprising details, such as unusual and bold graphic motifs, patchworks, silk slices and plasticised textures, juxtaposed fabric art, printed satin georgette, abstracted animal motifs, blooms and plumes, and slender tulle and diamante harnesses."
She has used crunchy cotton, cotton jersey, ultra fine jersey and paper silk in luscious tropical and cool popsicle tints from watermelon, cherry, root beer, and grape, to lime, pineapple, ice and blueberry. "Accessories are functional but distinctive in tie-dye and foil-coated nappa, and glazed kidskin, refreshed by combining different aspects of industrial design, sports technology and crafts," she adds.
