Will a 100% cotton sweater shrink in the dryer?

I'm trying to shrink my sweater it's to big on me ..
just wondering how to shrink it and if i do shrink it will the color fade?
And if i am trying to shrink it in the dryer...


It might shrink, but not much and yes, the color could fade. Plus, even if the sweater does shrink, the shrinking is temporary. It will "unshrink" within minutes once you wear it.
