denim delight
I wanted a denim hat for those bad hair days. This is perfect. Color exactly as shown (matches my denim duster!) It is a little large, but I still like it alot. -
Denim hat is great!
The denim hat arrived quickly. I love it. I recently had melanoma of the scalp which can be extremely serious if not caught early. Denim and wool are the only two fabrics that provide true sunscreen protection. I am buying MORE for gifts. The hat is very comfortable and I was amazed at how fast...

I have one of those "knifty knitter" looms for quick knitting and I'd like to use that so I can finish the hat fast. But, I've never worked with cotton fyarn or a hat.
Most yarns don't have a lot of give until you knit them. You go by standard knitting charts to determine how much because the gauge of a loom is fixed (you can't change needle size). From my experiences with the loom, you should only need one skein.

Catonsville High School Goes Pink for Breast Cancer
Catonsville High School was awash with pink on Friday, as the school held a Pink Out day to raise awareness for breast cancer.
To raise money, school staff sold pink ribbons, bracelets and shirts with "Real Comets Wear Pink" on the front. Many students also took it one step further and wore various shades of pink in socks, hats, shoes and pants.
Special education teacher Michele Ellis, one of the organizers, said she thought that the day was a success for the first year. Other teachers that were involved include Terissa Carpenter and Colleen Cotton.
Assistant Principal Christy Moore-German, who was involved in a similar effort at Woodlawn High School, said she was impressed with the students' level of participation.
"It's much more significant than I thought it would be," she said. "It really took off for the first year."
A total of 301 shirts were sold, as well as several hundred ribbons and bracelets. So far the day raised more than $2,000 for a Catonsville High School alumnus who has breast cancer and the Cancer Support Foundation.
Scarves, Caps And Wig For Cancer Patient? - Google Chrome Book ...
She may not find a wig comfortable. When I lost my hair my scalp wasn’t sensitive but the wig I tried for a week sure itched bad!. I purchased a bunch of different hats and often went out with just my buzzed short hair. Radiation can make the scalp sensitive so if she hasn’t had that yet then she can probably wear almost anything. Many cancer clinics offer listings and sometimes have a small shop in the clinic to help get patients wigs, hats and head covers, try calling your local hospital’s cancer center. You just have to shop around the department stores and hat shops. Good Luck.
Stylish Head Covering for Cancer Patients: Chic Options to use ...
Cancer is a complicated disease to experience, not only for the one living through it but for the loved ones as well. Besides the scare that it naturally brings, cancer will also cause many changes to the body due to surgery and cancer treatments. Treatments like chemotherapy and radiation (depending on where the radiation is concentrated at) will cause hair loss.
Wigs for Cancer PatientsWigs are an obvious option that can be used to cover the head. The best time to purchase a wig is prior to hair loss. That way the stylist can help find one that matches the current hairstyle and color. It is definitely a good idea to buy a wig that is similar to the current hairstyle. It is also important to find out what material the wig is made of. Wigs made with human hair will react to the elements and will probably not last more than six months depending on use. Wigs made with synthetic hair will last longer but are usually hotter to wear.
