I used 2 packs of dye for an Ikea chair and ottoman cover that I made myself from painters drop cloth- I used it in my washing machine and it came out perfect, if you have a top-loader no worries- it did not stain my machine and no messy clean up either.The color came out perfect no spots like... -

it was quite expensive so i dont want to do it myself. what sort of place would do it professionally?
A tailor should be able to either get it dyed for you, or at least point you in the right direction.
You might also try a dry cleaners. Some do minor alterations and dyeing.

One of them â Mr Ajay Sardana, Asst VP (Global Customers & Market Intelligence) at Grasim, is of the firm opinion that viscose staple fibre (VSF) will come in to its own in the near future and find a place in the consumer mind, subject to proper brand creation just like it was done for cotton by US.
Elaborating on the same, he said, âThe consumption of VSF is rising globally, specially in developed countries. However the consumer in India is not aware that he may be using a product containing VSF, which needs to be worked upon. The need of the hour is to introduce compulsory garment labeling.
